My Profile

Jocelyn Chatterton MA, LTCL is a lecturer in antique oriental costume, sewing tools and textiles.
Specialising in formal court and informal costumes and textiles of the Qing dynasty, I have lectured all over the UK and Hong Kong. I have exhibited in New York, London, Birmingham NEC and in various other locations throughout the UK.
As well as having a large selection of robes and textiles for sale, I lecture professionally on Chinese costume, dress accessories and life in Qing dynasty China. I have access to some beautiful silk textiles and costumes for display and discussion.
Overseas studies include regular visits to Hong Kong, China and New York where I study museum collections and attend symposia. I am a member of the Textile Society of Hong Kong, the Textile Society, the Society for Anglo-Chinese Understanding and the Costume Society.
